From the South,

Go north on the M6 to junction 34 Signed  Lancaster - Heysham.

Turn right at the traffic lights and go under the Motorway on the A 683. Ingleton is 15 miles. There is now an army of average speed camera which continue along much of the route towards Ingleton, set at 50mph.

Drive 10 miles along this road which will take you through >

Caton and the Crook ‘o’ lune (watch out for the speed camera 30 MPH) Hornby – Claughton - Melling (2 miles to go) > then turn right after the stone bridge onto the A687 - 5 miles to Ingleton.

This scenic road will take you through > Cantsfield and Burton in Lonsdale ( 20 mph & speed bumps)

At the end of this road you will turn right onto the A65 to Ingleton (Country harvest shop and tearoom on right)

Just half a mile down you will drive across the iron bridge

500 yards take the 2nd turn left signed Hawes B6255

Go over the + junction ….pedestrian crossing…past the car park and tourist information to your left and then you will see Tryst Cottage on the left ( look for the wheel ). Pull up and park across our driveway.

From the North,

Go south on the M6 to junction 36 Signed A65 Kirby Lonsdale.

Drive along the A65 through Kirby Lonsdale ( 6miles: watch out for speed cameras) and continue on to Ingleton (5 miles ). Drive across the iron bridge.

500 yards take the 2nd turn left signed Hawes ( B6255 )

Go over the + junction ….pedestrian crossing…past the car park and tourist information to your left and then you will see Tryst Cottage on the left ( look for the wheel ).Pull up and park across our driveway.

From the East,

Pick up the A65 from the north west corner of Leeds and follow the road through Ilkley, Skipton and Settle (10 miles to go) and on to Ingleton (this is a long run on a good road ! ).

As you approach Ingleton the road drops downhill toward a petrol station on the left, at this point you should look for the Hawes road (50 yards) signed B6255 HAWES and turn right. Go over the + junction ….pedestrian crossing…past the car park and tourist information to your left then you will see Tryst Cottage on the left ( look for the wheel ). Pull up and park across our driveway.

From the Northeast,

From the A1 just 6 miles south of Catterick pick up the A684 signed Bedale and Northallerton, drive through Bedale and Leyburn to Hawes, drive through Hawes and the last road on the bend as you leave Hawes is the very scenic B6255 to Ingleton and the White Scar Caves, enjoy the drive through this wonderful countryside ( 18 miles ) to Ingleton. As you approach Ingleton (just a short way past the caves ) the road drops down through a couple of sharp bends, as you drive down the hill you will pass the one way exit from the town centre then the road continues to drop downhill, on your right you will see a car park and white painted cottage, Tryst Cottage is the last cottage in the row after the car park. Pull up and park across our driveway.
